Ozzie, his owner Lexei and I spent the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend exploring an area park in Northville, MI. Ozzie, an Australian Koolie, frequently goes hiking with his mom by parks near their house so it was only natural that we would try to photograph something that they love to do in their free time. I knew that it would be a fun session when the car pulled up with Ozzie’s head sticking out the window!

If I learned anything from this session, it is that you need to give Ozzie time to explore before trying to get him to pose for treats! 😉 He loved to run and scope out the next great spot.

We finished his session out on an open field where we caught the sun going down behind Ozzie. It was a wonderful evening with a dog that reminded me a lot of our own German Shepherd, Ripley. To see more adventures of Ozzie, check out his Instagram account at @superkoolie.
